AG Presents and Mulligans on the Blue are excited to have one of Mauiʻs favorite bands, BrownChicken BrownCow Stringband on Saturday, October 12th.
Xander, Orion, Justin, and Matt are bringing the Appalachian jams to the Mulligans Music Box. Fresh of their packed performance at Ohio’s Grassfire 2024 (the event featured Greensky Bluegrass, Del McCoury Band, Leftover Salmon, Peter Rowan Band and more).
Tickets range from $20 to $35; the earlier you grab them, the cheaper the ticket. The show is from 7:30 to 10:00 pm with Doors at 6:00 pm. The dancefloor will be popping!!
Brown Chicken Brown Cow String Band is a national touring band whose roots originated in the Appalachian Mountains of southern West Virginia. Band members are Orion Hitzig, Xander Hitzig, Justin Morris, and Matt Del Olmo, all of whom are multi-instrumental musicians who have spent over a decade together on and off stage. During that time they have created a rare and deep bond that can be heard and observed in their music. The band members listen and react to subtle nuances in each other’s playing that create spontaneous ripples of creativity, making their sound unique and recognizable from performance to performance.
BrownChicken BrownCow StringBand performs original music and the occasional classic of one of their influences. Their songs and melodies are influenced through the band members’ varied musical backgrounds including Bluegrass, Gypsy, Folk, Old-Time, Celtic, and even Classical. One of the strengths of the band is the devotion and level of support from their cult fanbase, regardless if the band is on the Mainland, Hawaii, Puerto Rico, or Alaska... it is amazing the support their friends, family, and fans bring to the band. BrownChicken BrownCow StringBand and their friends, family, and fans are a tribe, and the things they do are ‘BrownChicken.The band is grateful and humble to have a strong relationship with the people and the land of Maui, Hawaii, and very pleased to share this performance.
